An advancing army
white flags surrendering skywards
towards the gentle sun.
Meeting, greeting,
enchanting the eye.
A mesmeric breeze-induced wave
of nodding heads,
this earth-bound cloud of angels
hymns their worship
to an extravagant creator.

A summer snow
meadowed for a season,
charming fly and bee to visitation,
no appointment necessary.

Neither fallen comrade nor wounded foe
poppy this field
with contaminating blood.
The whisper of the wind
a benign dictator,
enthrals each petal, stem and leaf.
