1920s Percy Ward Pulling Foster's Baker Cart Houghton Regis

Percy Ward (holding the horse's head) aged about 16, became a successful baker with his own shop in Cumberland Street. He died in 1981.

The photograph shows him pulling a J. W. Foster's Bakery cart.

This photograph was taken in front of the Chequers Pub before the roundabout was built.
