Houghton Regis Heritage Society is privileged to publish recordings of Harry Ballard talking about his life in Houghton Regis
Harry was born in 1923 and gives a fascinating insight into Houghton Regis village life in the 1930s together with his adventures. He told his story with energy and spirit and in a down to earth manner. Some may be offended by the occasional strong language.
Sadly Harry passed away in April 2020. This special tribute, recorded in 2018 by Roger Turner, Tracey McMahon and David Hill, is part of the Society’s Oral History Project.
