All Saints Church
All Saints Church was built in the 14th century, but the Domesday Book (AD 1086) mentions an earlier Saxon church at Houghton Regis. The Domesday entry records the Church "held of the King by William the Chamberlain". A legacy of this ancient past is the Norman font in which both children and adults have been baptised for the last 900 years or so, and is still in use.
The Church occupies a commanding position in the centre of the Town. It is a stately building, chiefly Decorated Style, but with Perpendicular additions, consisting of a chancel, nave, aisles, a south porch and a very fine tower.
