Houghton Regis Cricket Team on Whit Monday 1956.
They played Coventry Wayfarers. The captain was Mr A (Dicky) Bird. Fred Calcutt, the wicket keeper saved the day by scoring 21 not out.
The Team was;

Umpire (?), Len Cross, Bob Smith, Peter Pratt, P. Clarke, A. Clarke, Umpire (Percy Bodsworth?)
Front Row left to right:
Brian Sandford, Jack Beds worth, (Dicky) A. Bird, Ray Birchley, W. (Billy) Barling, Fred Calcutt (wicket keeper).
