1949 Houghton Regis Gymkhana and Horse Show in Houghton Hall Park

A boy enjoying a small rollercoaster ride at the Houghton Regis Horse Show and Gymkhana, which was the biggest event in the district. It was held in the grounds of Houghton Hall, lent by Lt Col Sir Dealtry Charles Part, OBE, for several years. The show attracted more than 10,000 people. The photograph was taken in 1949

The Proceeds went to the Houghton Regis Memorial Hall Fund.
