A tea pot purchased by Emily Tracy was the start of the "What do we hold dear" project at All Saints View, Houghton Regis.
The inscription reads: William Riddy, School House, Houghton Regis, 1899
William Riddy was born in Houghton Regis in 1847 and died in 1923. The 1851 Census records him as living in 132, Hale Lane, Houghton Regis, with his Father, Mother. He subsequently married Elizabeth Tompkins, 17th August 1871. William was a tailor. According to the Census records they lived in the School House, Houghton Regis where William died in 1923.
