016 Knock

Knock
the door is not open
hidden within
in unknowing
is treasure.

the door is not open
to the wise
in their ignorance
it bars the way

the door is not open
but a meagre movement
will consent entry

the doorway is open
the door
merely a guardian
welcoming access
with its safeguarding hand

the door is not open
to fools who imagine
with closed minds
