104 High Street Houghton Regis. A Grade II Listed Building

In the 1950s it was a general grocery store owned by Mr and Mrs Edwards. It subsequently became the first self-service store in Houghton Regis.

Wilson Car sales occupy this building.

1. 5125 HOUGHTON REGIS HIGH STREET (north-west side)
Nos 104 and 106 TL 0123 NE 37/196

2. C16 or C17 origins, altered C19 and C20. Timber frame construction with substantial full length storey posts visible in exposed frame of rear elevation, with brick infill; front elevation, frame cased in colour-washed brick. Front roof slope slated, rear slope modern tiles. Four bay plan. Large central brick stack with front door opposite side. Seven modern windows.
