George W Jackson (1910 - 2000) and his wife Betty Jackson (1916 - 2002) built the Hyde in 1939, on a small field off Sundon Road, Houghton Regis known as "Hyde Park", soon after they were married.
The house was sold to South Bedfordshire District Council, who demolished the building. There are now flats on the site.
