The Houghton Regis Home Guard Unit met in Houghton Hall during WW2. This photograph was taken in the Mews.
The officer with the light cane in the front row is Mr Albert Maddocks and the other officer is a Mr Jones.
Mr Thomas James Strange is fourth from the right in the front row. He subsequently became Chairman of Luton Rural District Council 1966-1968
