2024 Beacon Commemorating 80th Anniversary of D-Day 6th June

The Beacon on the Green Houghton Regis Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of D-Day. The beacon was lit by the Town Mayor Cllr Elaine Cooper.

The special Beacon on the Green at Houghton Regis, lit by the Town Mayor on 6th June 2024, shows the five Beaches on which the Allied Forces landed in Normandy. Shown here are:

Gold and Sword where British forces came ashore.

Juno where Canadian forces came ashore.

Omaha and Utah (not shown here) where the American forces came ashore.
