2024 19th September The Houghton Regis Town Mayor Unveiling the Brandreth Information Board in Houghton Hall Park

The Houghton Regis Town Mayor, Cllr Elaine Cooper, unveiling the Brandreth information Board in Houghton Hall Park on 19th September.

The Mayor said:

"I am pleased to be here today for the unveiling of the Brandreth Board, I have been aware of the Brandreth Name for some time but to be honest I knew very little about the family history and its association with the village. I appreciate the Heritage Society's hard work and effort in putting the material together.

In the 17th Century Houghton Regis was a small village, it had a Church a few dwellings, a pub, the Red House and Houghton Hall which is a building of great prestige.
Visitors young and old to this beautiful Park can now have an insight into the surrounding history.
I will now unveil the Brandreth Board."
