The number 6 bus was iconic in Houghton Regis in the 1960s.
The photograph shows a group of men with shovels helping the bus to get through the snow.
The Dunstable Gazette reported in 1961 that, "Snow fell almost non-stop on New Year's Eve and by evening road conditions were so bad that traffic was virtually non-existent."
