1955 Aerial Photograph of the Green Houghton Regis

Aerial photograph of the Green Houghton Regis taken in the 1950s. At this date there is no pavilion on the Green.

Houghton Hall is seen at the bottom of the photograph. To the north of the Green are park Cottages on the corner of Drury Lane. The Memorial Hall and the Tithe Farm Estate are yet to be built.

At the top right is Chantry House with the farm building in front The farm buildings buildings have been demolished and Treow House now occupies Chantry House on the corner of Windsor Drive. In front of the farm buildings is the Chequers public house. Too the right of the Chequers are four houses which were demolished when Park Road North was re-routed and widened.
