1970s The High Street Taken from the Church Tower

A view of the High Street taken from All Saints Church Tower in the 1970s.

Bierum House is across the road and was offices for Aid Call. A dentist is now situated in the building. The buildings to the right of Bierum House have been demolished and is now the site for Morrison's Supermarket.

The vacant plot to the left is where Rosalyn House, a care home, was built.

At the far right of the photograph is the King's Arms public House.
