1916 Postcard View of the High Street Houghton Regis Looking West

A coloured version of Charles Smy's postcard of the High Street January 1916. It reads, "Dear M, Have not been able to get leave for Sunday. Am A1. Love from S."

Mr Bandy's greengrocery shop and Wright's Yard are on the left. The Old Kings Arms is middle rear, and was burnt down in 1936. Bedford Road goes off to the right.
