Post Card posted on 26th September 1916 showing army lorries and a tent on the Green. On the left is the Tithe Farm with its distinctive chimneys and the 14th/15th century Tithe Barn behind that.
This is a rather idyllic scene with the sheep from Poynters Farm in the foreground.
We do not know if the writer was a soldier posted in Houghton Regis on the back is an interesting account of a "trip" to the Tropics.
