Children enjoying the swings on Tithe Farm recreation ground, Houghton Regis in May 1968.
The Tithe Farm Estate was built in the 1960s to re-house families from London who came to work in the car and truck factories (Vauxhall and Renault) in Dunstable and Luton. For many it was the only chance to have a home of their own at a time of acute housing shortage.
