1957 A copy of the Compulsory Purchase Order Made by Luton Rural District Council

Luton Rural District Council (later South Bedfordshire District Council now Central Bedfordshire Council) bought land in Houghton Regis under a Compulsory Purchase Order in 1957 under the Houghton Regis Town Development Plan. The land purchased formed the area which is now the Tithe Farm Housing Estate and part of the Parkside Estate.
