1980 Parish Council Resolves to Change to a Town

Minutes of an historic Meeting of the Houghton Regis Parish Council in January 1980 where it was resolved to change from a Parish Council to a Town Council. As a result the Town Council voted to appoint Cllr J Kinchella to be the first Mayor of Houghton Regis.
