Five year old Tina Cheshire won first prize dressed as a powder puff for the 1957 Village Fete.
This Village Fete was shown in the cinemas on Pathe News. It can be reviewed at https://www.britishpathe.com/video/houghton-regis-fair
The film clip also shows the Barrel Rolling competition held annually in Houghton Regis. The proceeds of the Barrel Rolling competition went to the Memorial Hall Building Fund.
The Fetes were very big occasions taking place on the Village Green.
