Gable-view of the newsagent's premises (Odmans), which were formed from two of three cottages. The deeds date from 1825.
Just after World War 1 the shop was owned by Mr Parker, who had been an officer in the war and moved to Houghton Regis in civilian life. His nephew, Jonnie Odman took over the shop on the 1920s.
It has changed hands since, but still bore the name Odmans. It has now been demolished.
