The Red Triangle cement works, formerly Dunstable Portland Cement Company and later Blue Circle Group, held an open day in 1931.
The Picture shows a group dressed up as ragged Sunday School scholars of the past. Their formidable-looking "schoolmaster" was Mr A.E. Taylor, who was foreman of the works and lit the first kiln there. His son is Reg Taylor on the left of the front row and next to him is D. Cook. At the back are: ? Smith, Fred (Ginger) Ballard, ? Swain and Jeffrey Taylor.
