74 - 76 High Street Houghton Regis in 2007
The deeds of these premises date back to 1825. Previously there was a row of tiny cottages, one of which was demolished and the remaining two knocked into one to form the present building.
During its many years as a newsagents, it was known as Odman's. Johnny Odman took over the shop from his uncle Mr Parker in the early 1920s. Later it was run by Mr and Mrs Andrews.
The building was demolished in 2017. A block of two new flats has been built on the site.
