Aerial Photograph of an open area excavation in HRN3206, Houghton Regis. This excavation was carried out prior to construction of new houses in the HRN1 development to the north of Houghton Regis. The excavation was carried out by Albion Archaeology
The photograph shows lots of ditches which are mostly Roman, with hints of roundhouses.
There is evidence of human Roman activity but very few human burials were found.
Finds included brooches, bracelets, coins and pottery sherds. One sherd had a Latin inscription.
