I am pleased to nominate Rev. David Skinner (Retired) for the Pride of Houghton Regis Lifetime Achievement Award, in recognition of his outstanding service, dedication, and lasting contributions to the Houghton Regis community.

Since joining Houghton Regis Baptist Church in 2009, Rev. Skinner has been a pillar of faith, compassion, and leadership, guiding and supporting countless individuals and families throughout the years. His commitment to the spiritual and social well-being of the community has been truly exceptional, making a profound and positive impact on the lives of many.

Beyond his ministry, Rev. Skinner has played a crucial role in shaping the future of Houghton Regis through his work as a trustee of the Houghton Regis Community Development Company (HRCDC). His dedication to helping establish a vibrant and healthy community in the new-build housing area of Bidwell West demonstrates his deep-rooted passion for community development and inclusivity.

Even after his retirement in 2024, Rev. Skinner’s legacy continues to inspire, having spent 15 years serving Houghton Regis with compassion, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to bringing people together. His impact on both the spiritual and social fabric of the town is immeasurable, and his leadership has left an indelible mark on the community.
