Painter, Terence Brooks said, "I don't know when the tree came down, but it must have been in the 1940's. I just always remember it that way. I lived on Easthill Road. with my sisters Penelope and Glenys, so we passed it on the way to the school on the green (Thomas Whitehead School known as "Botton School"). My sister Penelope suggested that I do the painting. It's an 11x14 oil. It was a reminder of good times as a kid.
