Dene Hollow

Dene Hollow, probably a 16th century building, was originally the farmhouse of Chantry farm which dated to the middle ages. The chantry provided for the inhabitants of Houghton Regis however the chantry was abolished by Henry VIII with the dissolution of the monasteries in 1536 - 1540.
