The Heritage Society's Stand at the Carnival.
The front display is of a local sporting icon, Fred Alsop who represented GB in the Triple Jump and Long Jump at three consecutive Olympic Games - 1960, 1960, 1968. His best result was fourth in the Tokyo Games in 1964, only 11cm behind the Bronze Medal winner. Alsop Close in Houghton Regis was named in his honour.
